VO Genesis Review – Another Make Money From Home Scam?

Working from home, in my pajamas while earning a full-time income is the dream. It’s no secret that that many hardworking people are looking for a way to earn an income online while not having to go back to school or learn new, complicated skills. And, if they could make that money in just a few hours work per day, then all the better.

Well, the most recent work from home opportunity to claim their program will allow home workers to accomplish hundreds per day with only a couple hours of work is called VOGenesis reviews.

According to the sales page, there’s lots of need for people who can speak English to provide voiceover work. And in total honesty, there is a huge demand for voice talent.

I know this because I have been a voiceover artist for several years. When I found this program, I was eager to learn more.

What The Job Involves:

  • Finding clients that need a voice recording of some kind;
  • Auditioning to get the gig;
  • Reading the script and recording yourself;
  • And sending the recording to the company that hired you.

Then you get paid.

According to the sales page, you can earn as much as $20 per minute to record your voice. Sounds intriguing, and VO Genesis is getting a lot of buzz on the Web, so I thought I’d check it out.

VO Genesis Overview

The basic VO Genesis product consists of a Quick Start Guide, a bonus guide on How to Triple Your Voiceover Fees and another bonus called How to Get More Gigs Than You Can Handle.  There are also some up-sells, which I’ll describe in a moment.

The VO Genesis product is claimed to be the creation of someone named “Jenny Lewis.” She says she was broke, lost about $1,000 on get rich quick schemes and was getting desperate when she met a friend who told her that she had been earning hundreds of dollars per hour doing voiceover work.

Jenny then followed her friend’s advice, did some work herself, got paid for it, and…

…created a course about how to get paid to do voiceover work.

Now, I just want to first make it known that earning a steady income from voice recording is possible. But, it takes time, skill and connections to really make the money that “Jenny Lewis” is claiming you can make.

When I first read the details of this program, I was hoping that it was an affordable, online method of learning the craft of voice acting. But, it’s more of a “How To” with information that you could have found on Google for free.

Anyway, I do not want to spend too much time dwelling on the course itself, or the first up-sell, which is called VO Genesis Accelerator.

The VO Accelerator

Is going to show you how to learn to use your voice to properly sell products, how to better market your talent, and how to take care of your voice so that it lasts a long time and produces the best results.

The VO Accelerator was actually filled with very useful information that, if actually put into practice, could really help you step up your game in the industry.

Speaking of the industry, it doesn’t matter what you do to make money from home, you are more than likely going to need to take some sort of learning course.

So, why not take the VO Genesis learning course?  It’s a lot like other courses, such as “Get Paid to Draw” or “Get Paid Taking Pictures“.

Can you make money as a voiceover artist?

Yes, in theory, you can. I do everyday. But. in practice, it’s a difficult industry to enter, and a small number of people seem to get the majority of the work.

Even in the make cash online industry, I’m astonished at how many products feature voiceovers from marketer Todd Gross.

Just as a point of reference, I have been a working Actor for over a decade. Film, Television, and Commercials. To be a successful Voice Artist, you must first learn the Art of it. That includes the actual acting part.
